Research Assistant Professor Barbara K. Smith, PT, PhD, has been named the recipient of the American Physical Therapy Association 2016 Margaret Moore Outstanding New Faculty Member Award. Smith will receive a plaque and monetary award of $1,500 from APTA’s Board of Directors at the NEXT Conference and Exposition being held in Nashville, TN, in June 2016. Smith is also one of two PHHP recipients of UF’s Outstanding Young Alumni Awards. Smith received her doctorate in rehabilitation sciences in 2010. She will be honored at a recognition luncheon next month and is invited to sit in the President’s box at the Orange and Blue football game.
